In Part I, II and III of this article series, we established that:

1. prosperity affirmations are a great way to change your thinking to be aligned with enjoying wealth
   
2. listening to or saying affirmations alone is not enough for you to become prosperous
   
3. the Law of Sowing and Reaping and the Law of Giving and Receiving say you also have to give abundantly if you desire to receive abundantly
   
4. when you provide value to others through your work, products or services, that is also giving, even though there is an exchange of money

All of which raised the question...

But What Do I Give Exactly?

Some people say that if you desire to receive something, then you should give that same thing to others.

For example, if you desire to enjoy more money, then give more money to someone else in whatever measure you currently can. You could tip your waiter an extra dollar or even buy those shoes that cost a little bit more.

In both cases, you are giving more money to others with the expectation that you will likewise receive more money according to the Law of Giving and Receiving and the Law of Sowing and Reaping.

Giving In General

Other people say that the most important thing is that whatever you give, you give it freely with the intention of blessing whoever or whatever you are giving it to.

Why do I say "whoever and whatever" you are giving it to?

Because it's not just people who can receive your gifts of love, value and kindness. You can give to:

• an animal (e.g., seeds for a bird on a freezing winter day)
  
• a plant (e.g., water for a tree on a scorching summer day)
  
• the planet (e.g., using a cloth bag for shopping)

In such cases, you don't desire to receive the exact thing you are giving (i.e., birdseed, water or less plastic). Rather, it's the essence of the thing you're giving that you would like to receive yourself:

• love
  
• kindness
  
• good will
  
• given with no strings attached

So, What Do I Give Exactly?

Simply give whatever you have to give. And if you can give the very thing you'd like to receive, then do that too.

And how does all this relate to affirmations again?

Well, if you desire to receive more, you need to start giving more.

And whenever you need to start doing something new, you'll need new thoughts, feelings and decisions as the basis of that action.

And prosperity affirmations are a great tool to help you make those changes to how you think, which will affect how you feel, decide and act.

All of which will combine to change the results you experience.

So, here's to you giving more of what you have, receiving more of what you desire, and enjoying every moment of the process!
